This satturday we again went to Sloka quarry. Despite heavy snowfall last night, and positive temperature, it was surprisingly dry! It appears that this is the last ice-dive of the spring season that our divecub will do, as the ice and snow is thawing very quickly, so we will soon meet for the opening of summer season. (watch the information on our site!)

Weather this sunday was perfect - bright sun, clear sky and a couple degrees below zero (celsius). Cold took care of the annoying wetness while sun added colours to the event. Thickness of ice at the site was about 45 cm, and visiability - over 4 m which is a lot for Sloka quarry.
Good company of friends, favourite hobby, hot tee and coffy in fresh air, what cvan be a better way to spend a sunday?

During the project week held in Skulte elementary school, which was dedicated to Baltic Sea, 4th grade schoolchildren came to visit us along with their teacher. During the lively discussion children acquired many answers to the questions they had abuout Baltic sea, secrts held in it's depths and diving in general.
We wish to thank the schoolchildren for the diploma they had prepared for our diveclub!

As agreed before, we met today to wish our friends all the best in the new year, and what is the best way to start a year than with a refreshing dive? So we gathered diving gear, chainsaw, some tea and cofee and went to Sloka quarry. After an hour of work everything was ready - visiability was superb, mood - as good as it gets and we enjoyed an oportunity to "wet our gills" in the 2011.
